The Problem

Head of School tenure is in crisis. Pre-pandemic stats had average head of school tenure at 3.5 years. An NAIS survey reported that one in three schools had three or more heads of school in the past 10 years. Recent reports are saying that tenure average may be dropping to a staggering 1.5 years. To compound this problem, many young schools end up closing their doors for good because of poor management. ACSI reports that 150 of their schools close each year. Going into my 6^th year as the head of Providence Academy (over a decade of Head experience and 15 years in administration) provides me with a wealth of experience in Christian school leadership. 

Furthermore, accrediting agencies require Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) for all certified educators. These trainings are difficult to find, expensive to access, often not optimized for the private Christian educator.
